unity of two souls
now a distant thought
dwindling in and out
my soul the clavier
your words the keys
almost like writing a play
as you strike that note
of hopes and desires
waiting to be inspired
all alone in the dark
yearning for a spark
to play that magic
song of the heart
two souls united
never to be apart

mortals in motion
sometimes opposed
at times behind
often always
pompous
for their own glee
euphoria
with motives
but you
“sing”
and I observe
listening to you
in sheer radiance
I bathe in your
reflection
where I linger
as you tease
the sculptured
desires of my heart

constant taunting stars
eternally shining above
meander in this barren land
inquiring where my heart is
trying to find a hollow tree
flawless and untouched
new home to my memories
I bend and grasp my soul
no more turning to dust
rising from my ashes
as the phoenix rises

I sit and wonder
water droplets
against the glass
twilight gloaming
ambrosia of love
so tough to hold
the walls of my heart
pressed in memories
between the pages
of a forgotten book
pictures in my mind
the long road home
I wonder …

all around me
it echo’s in this space
I have no part in it
the wind rustling
through the leaves
of trees
I sit alone
in silent dialogue
with my thoughts
quiet beating
of my heart
peace rests snugly
in the womb of dusk
if I could
I would
capture it
right now…
here…
in this moment

and so goes

in a song lingers
teasing my senses
with ravenous allure

where I move you
to the hidden corners
of my thoughts
trying to hide you
between the pages
of my aching heart
in which I daily muse
my spirit
moving back and forth
to the tired body
of a crucified cosmos
the endless quest
trying to avoid
or is it an illusion
your picture not fading
in vain, I remain

this wheel of hope
keeps teasing
while
your silent song
still lingers

reflection takes flight within
journey’s through floating seas
held into the depth of night
sing to me this heart of soul
embraces of desires subdue
quenching heating fevers
giving all of myself to you
unite your words of wisdom
shelter the gates of my heart
hold these ardent promises
honoring truth to never be apart
sing to me sweet carnal arrest
infuse this inner fire of love

let me kiss these flaming desires
and show you where love begins
