sometimes…
just sometimes
I sit and wonder
water droplets
against the glass
twilight gloaming
ambrosia of love
so tough to hold
the walls of my heart
pressed in memories
between the pages
of a forgotten book
pictures in my mind
the long road home
I wonder …

that paints in red
loquacious and free
stroke by stroke
color comes out
captivating me
the dancing rain
on my fingertips
flick of my wrist
of secrets born
passions chiseled
in precious stone

aquatic streams
of her inner
shrine
perhaps the moon
was her only friend
wading through
murk
on arduous
wings

the rainforest
trembles
a lush
awakening
in
mirrors of time
a sacred space
as cosmos speaks
the
language of love

no more
to dwell
in life’s
shadowy past
you may find her
in the motley
shades
amongst
streaming glades
where she muses
to herself

Waiting for the light of day
lingering in spaces I can’t fill
innocence in time was lost
as I wait in patience

eternal stillness
Utopian dreams
buoyant in the mist
harbinger somewhere
like a little butterfly
with faded, broken wings
in its armored shell
waiting for the light of day
innocence in time was lost
scattered in the wind of storm
with bleeding hearts we smile
while everything turns to dust
and in the depths a melody
sprinkled on a thousand hills
as time slowly creeks by
