unity of two souls
now a distant thought
dwindling in and out
my soul the clavier
your words the keys
almost like writing a play
as you strike that note
of hopes and desires
waiting to be inspired
all alone in the dark
yearning for a spark
to play that magic
song of the heart
two souls united
never to be apart

nocturnes
holding me
in their arms

time melts love
where memories
rise
wrapped
in slippery time

sketches
we compose
become erased
no right to bleed
as I write
your name
in the sand

if I had wings
I’d soar with gust
to the empty sky
and be on an island
in the desert
of my soul
tearing holes
in tomorrow

Utopian dreams
buoyant in the mist
harbinger somewhere
silent love lingers
on your trembling lips
as you slowly decipher
the storms of the soul
in nurtured desires
and a reverie of love
hides below the surface
of dreams and dither
finding shelter
in the hands of delusion
and the secret of love
from times gone by
now just a whisper
born out of ashes
but
like the circle of life
it cannot negate
thoughts of
you and me…

tears mixed with mud and blood

with faded, broken wings
in its armored shell
waiting for the light of day
innocence in time was lost
scattered in the wind of storm
with bleeding hearts we smile
while everything turns to dust
and in the depths a melody
sprinkled on a thousand hills
as time slowly creeks by
