almost like writing a play
as you strike that note
of hopes and desires
waiting to be inspired
all alone in the dark
yearning for a spark
to play that magic
song of the heart

foreign language
whispering softly
my naked desires
in blazing fires
forever merging
on fertile ground
in true tradition
distant voices
lustrous glint
infinite love

as I stagger towards
the maze of your fervor
and silence grow pregnant
where I long for your love
to turn my evanescent soul
and sculpture my heart
a dream within a dream
as our memories fade
where passion is the fire

shelter the gates of my heart
hold these ardent promises
honoring truth to never be apart
sing to me sweet carnal arrest
infuse this inner fire of love
