of a newborn day
joie de vivre in
every breath I take
treading footsteps
echo the sound
of silent innuendos
as thoughts fly away
like nectar dripping
invading my senses
where muses play
I’ll write you a verse
and softly whisper
“come play”

bereft of knowledge
clusters of fluttering words
hiatus of thoughts

mimic thoughts
through my fingers
on paper
received by my soul
driven by how
you read my words
once dormant
then direction

reflection of you

get wings
to fly

a tiring heart
this world has failed
to whisk apart
neither empty
nor full
immersing
in oceans of

in fields
of stone

water droplets
against the glass
twilight gloaming
ambrosia of love
so tough to hold
the walls of my heart
pressed in memories

of a forgotten book

the long road home
